Meet the most “extreme” season of Castaways ever

CBS The cast of the 43rd season of the hit reality competition was announced on August 31, and we got a sneak peek of the 18 castaways getting ready to battle it out on the beach.

The castaways include everyone from a US Paralympic runner to a 19-year-old pet cremator. This season, they will be divided Three tribes of the six—Baka, Coco and Vesey—and, according to CBS, “will face a faster, more extreme season from the moment they step on the beach.”

“Ethical dilemmas and unexpected situations will test even the strongest competitor,” the network continued in a statement. “As food is scarce, rewards and supplies are minimal, and the mental and physical challenges require players to make impossible decisions and adjust their strategies every day.”

That’s right: we keep going A new, tough era to survive Host Jeff Probst warned us about when the show enters its 41st season in 2021—meaning more prisoner’s dilemma choices, do-or-die twists, and perks we probably haven’t seen yet.
